Andrea Amerio

Graduated in Medicine in 2009 at the University of Parma, Dr. Amerio obtained the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychiatry and the PhD in Medical Sciences at the same University. In 2013 he successfully applied for two research fellowships at the Mood Disorders Program at Tufts University (Boston, USA). Supervised by Prof. Ghaemi, his work focused on comorbidities and pharmacological treatment of major affective disorders with particular regard for bipolar disorders and treatment resistant depression. Since 2019 he works as Assistant Professor at the Department of Neuroscience, Rehabilitation, Ophthalmology, Genetics, Maternal and Child Health (DINOGMI), Section of Psychiatry, University of Genoa.
